Miss Shree Datta, Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist MA MD MRCOG LLM BSc (Hons) MBBS
Miss Shree Datta trained at Imperial College School of Medicine, acquiring her experience at some of the best institutions in London over the last 17 years. She has a specialist interest in Colposcopy, menstrual disorders including fibroid surgery and endometriosis, pelvic pain, ovarian cysts, contraception and menopause. Her research in Ovarian cancer was awarded the Helen Lawson prize and her work on vulval skin changes has been presented internationally. She has led on studies for fibroids and heavy periods, regularly performing ultrasounds for period disorders and ovarian cysts.
Miss Shree Datta pioneered a multi-disciplinary approach to the Vulval Disorders services whilst working at King's College Hospital. Most recently, she has developed a virtual clinic for post-natal women who have had complex vaginal tears resulting in pelvic floor and urinary disorders. She is known for her personal approach and individualised tailored care, from ultrasound in early pregnancy to delivering complex antenatal care and performing Caesarean sections where appropriate.
Passion For Education
Shree has a passion for education, working previously as Associate Clinical Dean for King's College Medical School, examining and teaching medical students. She has also been invited to develop educational materials for women, as an advocate for patients. She was appointed to serve on the General Medical Council by the Royal Appointments Commission and has served as a Non-Executive Director for the Homerton Hospital NHS Trust. She is regularly invited to speak at a range of events, from webinars to Instagram live sessions.
